Start to Finish Hackamore Braiding

I greatly appreciate your interest this project based course! This class focuses on the construction of the hackamore. From tempering the hide, preparing the strings, to tying the buttons and making the hanger. Everything you need has been thoughtfully documented so you can follow along and have success. Also included are additional skills that will be useful in making hackamores, but that translate to many other projects as well!
What you will learn in this course:
- How to make a hackamore from start to finish
- Preparing the core
- Cutting the body strings
- Braiding the body
- Properly sizing the nose button strings so you make a perfect button
- Cutting the button strings
- Braiding the nose button
- Putting the base of the bosal together and making the heel knot foundation
- Braiding the heel knot
- How to add colored strings to buttons
- Making and putting on the hanger
~All information in the videos is easy to see and extremely detailed~
Every video is narrated with extreme detail in easy to understand terms and filmed up close from what I like to call the “braiders eye view” so that you can see exactly what I am doing in each moment.

We understand that deciding to invest in learning a trade takes thought and planning. As always better tools make the learning curve less steep however you can start small and add tools as you go. Lastly a lot of tools used in one course can be used in another of the same trade.
